Welcome to the 7-Day Creative Defense!

In this free video course, you'll be creative every day—and gain insights into how to protect and defend your precious creative time.

DAY 5: notes and summary

1. First things first! Set a timer for 20 minutes, and give your chosen creative project your full attention.

2. Today, you're going to keep your eyes peeled for the next incoming request—gig offer, social invitation, personal favor, etc.—that you want to say "No" to.

3. When that request arrives, try using this tool to investigate the feelings and fears that arise from saying no.

4. Bonus: share your experience with your accountability buddy!

Quote of the day: "You work that you may keep pace with the earth and the soul of the earth. For to be idle is to become a stranger unto the seasons, and to step out of life's procession that marches in majesty and proud submission towards the infinite. When you work, you are a flute through whose heart the whispering of the hours turns to music." —The Prophet, Kahlil Gibran
